In a tightly contested matchup, the Chicago Bears held off the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 24-19, securing their first win of the season in Week 2. The victory was crucial for the Bears as they look to establish momentum early in the 2026 campaign. Caleb Williams led the Bears' offense with a strong performance, throwing for a touchdown despite not racking up a high yardage total. Meanwhile, Kyler Murray impressed for the Vikings, amassing 327 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield. D'Andre Swift contributed significantly on the ground for Chicago, rushing for 67 yards, while Zavion Thomas was a key target, finishing with 99 receiving yards. Defensively, the Bears made critical plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Glendon Miller led the team with eight total tackles, consistently disrupting the Vikings' offensive rhythm. Additionally, Jaylon Johnson's interception proved pivotal, halting a potential scoring drive and allowing the Bears to maintain their lead late in the game. Jalen Redmond was a bright spot for Minnesota, recording 1.5 sacks, but ultimately, it wasn't enough to secure the win.
