In a thrilling season opener, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the New York Giants 23-17. Both teams entered Week 1 with high aspirations, but it was the Cowboys who emerged victorious, setting the tone for their 2026 campaign. Dak Prescott was the standout performer for Dallas, throwing for an impressive 362 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to connect with his receivers under pressure was pivotal, as he orchestrated key drives that ultimately secured the win for his team. Meanwhile, the Giants' Cam Skattebo provided a strong ground game with 110 rushing yards, and Malik Nabers led the receiving corps with 124 yards, keeping the game competitive until the final whistle. Defensively, the Giants were anchored by Brian Burns, who recorded a staggering 3.5 sacks along with nine total tackles, showcasing his dominance on the field. However, it was a critical interception by the Cowboys' defense in the fourth quarter that shifted momentum and sealed the game. With the Giants threatening to score, that turnover proved to be the decisive moment in a tightly contested matchup.
