In a commanding display to start the 2026 season, the Los Angeles Rams topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 52-21. The victory not only sets the tone for the Rams' campaign but also establishes them as a formidable force in the NFC West. Quarterback Matthew Stafford led the charge for Los Angeles, throwing for 277 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing a lethal connection with his receivers. Meanwhile, Derrick Henry was unstoppable on the ground, racking up an impressive 206 rushing yards while also contributing 109 receiving yards, making him a dual-threat nightmare for the 49ers' defense. Defensively, the Rams were equally impressive, with Kamren Kinchens recording six total tackles and snagging an interception that helped shift momentum. Byron Young added a sack to the mix, but it was Kinchens’ play that marked a critical turning point, allowing the Rams to capitalize on a momentum shift and pull away decisively in the second half.
