The New York Giants delivered a commanding performance in Week 3 of the 2027 season, defeating the Washington Commanders 35-0. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, the Giants showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving the Commanders searching for answers. Quarterback Jaxson Dart was in top form, throwing for 251 yards and five touchdowns, a performance that had the Giants’ offense firing on all cylinders. Mike Evans was his favorite target, compiling 112 receiving yards, while Kewan Lacy contributed on the ground with 35 rushing yards. The offensive efficiency displayed by New York was a stark contrast to the struggles faced by Washington. On the defensive front, the Giants were relentless, with Greg Newsome II making a standout impact by recording two interceptions, effectively shifting momentum away from the Commanders. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Newsome's first pick set up Dart for a quick touchdown, pushing the lead to an insurmountable level. Washington’s inability to respond on offense, coupled with the Giants' defensive prowess, sealed their fate in this lopsided contest.
