The Detroit Lions emerged victorious over the Denver Broncos with a final score of 27-10 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This win solidifies the Lions' strong position in the league as they continue to build momentum heading into the heart of the season. Bo Nix led the Broncos' offense with 168 passing yards and one touchdown, but it was Jahmyr Gibbs of the Lions who stole the show on the ground, rushing for 103 yards. The passing game for Denver struggled to find its rhythm, with Troy Franklin leading the receiving corps with just 62 yards. Overall, the Lions' balanced attack proved too much for the Broncos to handle. Defensively, the Lions made a significant impact, with D.J. Reed recording two crucial interceptions that shifted the momentum in favor of Detroit. The Lions’ ability to force turnovers was a turning point in the game, allowing them to capitalize on scoring opportunities. While the Broncos’ defense, anchored by Kaiir Elam's ten tackles and Zach Allen's sack, put up a fight, they couldn't overcome the Lions' dominant performance.
