In a commanding performance, the Seattle Seahawks toppled the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 41-10 in Week 9 of the 2027 season. This victory not only boosts Seattle's playoff hopes but also serves as a statement win against a struggling Panthers squad. Sam Darnold was the standout on offense, throwing for 304 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his accuracy and decision-making throughout the game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba emerged as his primary target, racking up an impressive 159 receiving yards, consistently finding space in the Panthers' secondary. Meanwhile, the Seahawks' ground game was subdued, with Jadarian Price leading the rush with only 23 yards, but the aerial attack more than compensated. Defensively, the Seahawks put on a clinic, highlighted by Derick Hall’s two sacks and Bud Clark's interception, which shifted the momentum firmly in Seattle's favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Clark's pick set up Darnold's third touchdown pass, putting the Seahawks up 28-3 and effectively sealing the game. The Panthers struggled to respond, unable to find any rhythm against a relentless Seattle defense.
