In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Seattle Seahawks with a commanding 54-27 victory, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the regular season comes to a close. The Lions showcased their offensive prowess, leaving the Seahawks battling to keep up in a high-scoring affair. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for an impressive 399 yards and four touchdowns, while Jameson Williams had a standout performance with 235 receiving yards, creating mismatches all game long. On the ground, the Seahawks' Jadarian Price put up 125 rushing yards, but it was not enough to keep pace with the Lions' explosive offense. Defensively, the Lions made critical plays that swung momentum in their favor, highlighted by Christian Izien's two interceptions that stifled any hopes of a Seattle comeback. Meanwhile, Leonard Williams of the Seahawks recorded three sacks, but Detroit's ability to capitalize on turnovers proved to be the game's turning point. With this win, the Lions not only secure a vital victory but also send a message to their playoff competitors.
