The New England Patriots topped the Indianapolis Colts 38-17 in a decisive Wildcard Round matchup, securing their place in the next round of the playoffs. With both teams vying for postseason glory, the Patriots showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, putting the Colts on notice early in the contest. Drake Maye led the charge for New England with an impressive performance, throwing for 2 touchdowns while racking up significant yardage. TreVeyon Henderson complemented the aerial attack with a powerful ground game, amassing 117 rushing yards that kept the Colts' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson Sr. fought valiantly for Indianapolis, throwing for 239 yards and connecting with Deion Burks, who caught 103 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the explosive Patriots offense. Defensively, Milton Williams was a standout for New England, notching 1.5 sacks that pressured Richardson throughout the game. The turning point came in the third quarter when the Patriots' defense forced a critical turnover, allowing Maye to capitalize and extend the lead. The Colts struggled to recover from that momentum shift, ultimately sealing their fate as the Patriots advanced with authority.
