In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions crushed the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 73-20 in Week 15 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidifies the Lions' playoff aspirations but also serves as a significant blow to the Vikings' chances of making the postseason. Jared Goff was the standout performer for Detroit, throwing for 323 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his precision and poise under pressure. Meanwhile, Jameson Williams added to the offensive fireworks with 112 receiving yards, while Jahmyr Gibbs contributed a solid 65 yards on the ground to keep the defense honest. The Lions' offensive dominance was evident, as they consistently moved the ball and found the end zone with ease. Defensively, the Lions were just as impressive, with Aidan Hutchinson leading the charge with 3.5 sacks, disrupting the Vikings' offensive rhythm throughout the game. Nazeeh Johnson made a significant impact as well, recording two interceptions and four total tackles, further stifling any hopes of a Minnesota comeback. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Johnson's first interception set up a quick touchdown, shifting the momentum entirely in favor of Detroit.
