The Washington Commanders narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27-24 in a thrilling Week 12 matchup of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was Washington that came out on top, securing a vital win as the season approaches its climax. Jayden Daniels led the way for the Commanders, throwing for 282 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make big plays when it mattered most. On the other side, Michael Wilson emerged as a standout for Arizona, racking up 117 receiving yards, although it wasn't enough to push his team to victory. Tyler Allgeier contributed with a solid ground game, finishing with 58 rushing yards. Defensively, the game turned when Jaylon Johnson of the Commanders intercepted two passes, providing crucial momentum shifts that helped Washington maintain their lead. Despite strong efforts from the Cardinals' Mack Wilson Sr., who recorded 10 total tackles, and Josh Sweat, who notched 1.5 sacks, their defensive efforts fell short against the timely plays made by Washington's defense. The Commanders’ ability to capitalize on turnovers ultimately sealed the win in a tightly contested battle.
