In a thrilling Week 12 showdown, the Detroit Lions narrowly defeat the Chicago Bears with a final score of 61-54, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the Lions who ultimately emerged victorious in a matchup filled with explosive plays and big performances. The offensive firepower was on full display, led by Detroit's Jared Goff, who threw for five touchdown passes, and Jahmyr Gibbs, who dominated on the ground with an impressive 259 rushing yards. Caleb Williams of the Bears kept pace with a staggering 618 passing yards and connected with Rome Odunze for 190 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Lions made crucial plays to maintain their lead, highlighted by Derrick Moore's two sacks and Art Green's six total tackles. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Lions' defense stifled a potential game-tying drive from the Bears, allowing them to hold off the late-game surge and clinch the victory.
