In a thrilling Week 6 showdown, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, finishing with a final score of 33-28. With both teams vying for crucial conference positioning, this victory solidifies the Texans' competitive stance in the 2026 season. Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars was the star of the night, throwing for 312 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Meanwhile, Trey Benson contributed significantly on the ground for the Texans, finishing with 51 rushing yards. However, it was Brian Thomas Jr. who made his presence felt in the receiving game, racking up 135 yards, even as the Jaguars fell short. Defensively, both teams had their moments, but the Texans' Lewis Cine made a key impact with an interception that shifted momentum in their favor. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Cine's pick set up a critical scoring drive for Houston, allowing them to hold off a late surge from Jacksonville. While the Jaguars' defense, led by Jourdan Lewis and Travon Walker, kept the pressure on, it was the Texans' timely plays that ultimately sealed the victory.
