In a commanding display of offensive firepower, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Cleveland Browns 34-20 in their Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season. The Jaguars aimed to set the tone for their campaign with an emphatic win, while the Browns sought to establish themselves early on. Trevor Lawrence put on a show for the Jaguars, throwing for a staggering 390 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his elite skills right from the season's start. He connected frequently with Brian Thomas Jr., who racked up an impressive 181 receiving yards, proving to be Lawrence's go-to target throughout the game. Meanwhile, Quinshon Judkins struggled to find his footing for the Browns, managing only 40 rushing yards, which hampered their offensive rhythm. The Jaguars' defense played a pivotal role in securing the victory, led by Starling Thomas V's five total tackles and a relentless pass rush spearheaded by Travon Walker, who recorded 2.5 sacks. Foyesade Oluokun's two interceptions were crucial in turning the tide, as they halted any momentum the Browns attempted to build. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Oluokun's second pick set up a quick touchdown, giving Jacksonville a lead they would maintain for the rest of the contest.
