The Kansas City Chiefs dominated the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 45-10, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season nears its end. This Week 16 matchup showcased the Chiefs' explosive offense and set the tone for what could be a deep postseason run. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 321 yards and five touchdowns, displaying his trademark precision and poise. Running back Kenneth Walker added a strong ground presence with 131 rushing yards, while Xavier Worthy emerged as a reliable target, racking up 103 receiving yards. Together, they formed a formidable trio that overwhelmed the 49ers' defense. Defensively, the Chiefs were equally impressive, with Chris Jones leading the charge, recording 1.5 sacks and applying consistent pressure on the San Francisco quarterback. The turning point came early in the second half when Mahomes connected with Worthy for a touchdown that pushed the lead to 31-10, effectively sealing the game for Kansas City. The 49ers struggled to recover from that momentum shift, as the Chiefs' defense continued to stifle their attempts to mount a comeback.
