In a commanding performance, the Cleveland Browns topped the New Orleans Saints 48-25, solidifying their position in the playoff race as the 2026 season approaches its midpoint. With both teams vying for crucial conference standings, the Browns showcased their offensive firepower to pull away in the second half. Cleveland's offense was spearheaded by Taylen Green, who threw for an impressive 363 yards and contributed significantly to the scoreboard. Dylan Sampson was a dual threat, rushing for 96 yards while also racking up 171 receiving yards, making him a key focal point in the Browns' attack. Despite the Saints' Tyler Shough throwing three touchdown passes, it was not enough to keep pace with Cleveland's relentless offense. Defensively, the Browns were relentless, led by Jared Verse, who dominated with 3.5 sacks, consistently pressuring Shough and disrupting the Saints' rhythm. The turning point of the game came midway through the third quarter, when a crucial interception by Pete Werner of New Orleans was nullified by a series of Cleveland stops, allowing the Browns to extend their lead and maintain control. The Saints struggled to recover, unable to mount a comeback against the stout Cleveland defense.
