In a decisive matchup, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Washington Commanders 42-21, showcasing their dominance in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The victory solidifies Seattle’s position as a formidable contender, while Washington struggles to find its footing early in the year. On the offensive side, Jayden Daniels led the Commanders with an impressive 357 passing yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Seahawks. Joe Milton contributed significantly on the ground with 75 rushing yards, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba emerged as a standout receiver, racking up 173 receiving yards and proving to be a reliable target for the Seattle offense. Defensively, the Seahawks made crucial plays that turned the tide in their favor, highlighted by Devon Witherspoon’s two interceptions, which stifled any momentum Washington sought to build. Byron Murphy II added pressure with a sack, further complicating the Commanders' offensive strategy. The turning point came in the second quarter when Witherspoon's first interception set up a quick touchdown for Seattle, allowing them to take control and ultimately secure the win.
