In a decisive matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Indianapolis Colts 35-14, securing their second victory of the young 2026 season. Both teams were eager to establish dominance early on, but it was the Chiefs who asserted their will throughout the game. Patrick Mahomes was stellar under center, throwing for 243 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing why he remains one of the league’s elite quarterbacks. On the ground, Jonathan Taylor kept the Colts competitive with a remarkable 186 rushing yards, but it was ultimately not enough to counter the Chiefs' offensive firepower. Xavier Worthy contributed significantly in the passing game as well, racking up 84 receiving yards. Defensively, the Chiefs made their presence felt, particularly through Chamarri Conner, who led the team with six total tackles and intercepted two passes. The turning point came when Conner picked off a pass in the second quarter, shifting the momentum firmly in Kansas City's favor. With Peter Woods adding a sack, the Chiefs' defense effectively stifled the Colts’ attempts to mount a comeback, sealing the victory with a strong performance on both sides of the ball.
