The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cruised to a decisive 34-3 victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 of the 2026 season, solidifying their early-season dominance. With both teams eager to establish their identities, the Buccaneers made a resounding statement at home, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Leading the charge for Tampa Bay was quarterback Baker Mayfield, who threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the offense. Wide receiver Omari Evans was his favorite target, racking up 73 receiving yards, while Bucky Irving contributed on the ground with 57 rushing yards. The Buccaneers' balanced attack kept the Browns' defense on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Buccaneers were equally impressive, with Calijah Kancey notching 1.5 sacks and Jacob Parrish securing an interception, disrupting any momentum the Browns could muster. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Kancey’s pressure forced a turnover, allowing Tampa Bay to extend their lead. With Cleveland unable to respond, the Buccaneers controlled the game from that moment on, delivering a strong message to the rest of the league.
