In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24-20 in Week 12 of the 2027 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, this victory was crucial for the Saints as they look to solidify their standing in the NFC. Tyler Shough led the Saints' offense with an impressive 275 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield effectively. Meanwhile, Jordyn Tyson emerged as his primary target, racking up 123 receiving yards and providing a consistent threat against the Vikings' defense. J.J. McCarthy managed to throw for a touchdown for Minnesota, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Saints' offensive efficiency. On the defensive side, Kaden Elliss’s eight total tackles helped stifle the Vikings' ground game, while John Henry Daley's standout performance, featuring 2.5 sacks, applied constant pressure on McCarthy. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Daley's sack led to a critical turnover on downs, allowing the Saints to maintain their lead and secure the victory.
