In a dominant showing to kick off the 2028 season, the Houston Texans topped the Denver Broncos 35-7. With both teams eager to start the year on a high note, the Texans made a statement, showcasing their offensive and defensive prowess throughout the contest. Darian Mensah was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 407 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Texans’ high-octane offense. Trey'dez Green was his favorite target, racking up 150 receiving yards and finding the end zone, while Jonah Coleman led the Broncos with 63 rushing yards in a struggle to keep pace. Defensively, the Texans were relentless, with Kayden McDonald recording three sacks that disrupted any offensive rhythm the Broncos hoped to establish. Jalen Pitre's five tackles added to a solid performance, but it was Mensah's passing clinic that truly turned the game. The Texans took control early and never looked back, effectively sealing the victory with a series of explosive plays that left Denver scrambling for answers.
