In a thrilling Week 7 showdown, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 37-34. The stakes were high as both teams sought to solidify their playoff positioning, but it was Seattle that emerged victorious in this nail-biter, showcasing their resilience on home turf. Leading the charge for the Seahawks was quarterback Sam Darnold, who delivered an impressive performance by throwing for 243 yards and five touchdowns. His ability to connect with wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, who notched 110 receiving yards, proved crucial in keeping the Chiefs' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker of the Chiefs put up a strong rushing effort with 138 yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win for Kansas City. On the defensive side, the Seahawks made key plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Devon Witherspoon led the charge with six total tackles, while Byron Murphy II added a sack, putting pressure on Darnold's counterpart. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Seattle's defense held firm, forcing a turnover on downs that allowed them to maintain their slim lead and ultimately secure the victory.
