In a thrilling Week 7 matchup, the Atlanta Falcons topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 45-37, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game looking to gain momentum, but it was the Falcons who emerged victorious in a high-scoring affair. Atlanta's Jalen Hurts was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 469 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make big plays when it mattered most. He found his favorite target, Drake London, who racked up 147 receiving yards, consistently stretching the field and keeping the 49ers' defense on their heels. Christian McCaffrey led the ground game for San Francisco with 76 rushing yards, but the 49ers struggled to keep pace with Atlanta's explosive offense. Defensively, the Falcons made key stops when needed, with Jalon Walker recording a crucial sack that shifted momentum in their favor. Despite the best efforts of Emmanuel Forbes Jr., who tallied eight tackles for San Francisco, the 49ers couldn't contain the Falcons' aerial attack. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Hurts connected with London for a touchdown that put Atlanta up by two scores, ultimately sealing the victory.
