In a decisive Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the Indianapolis Colts secured a 31-14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, kicking off their campaign on a high note. The stakes were high for both teams, as they aimed to set the tone for the new season and establish their playoff aspirations. Lamar Jackson led the Ravens with a solid performance, throwing for 187 yards and one touchdown, but it was Jonathan Taylor who stole the spotlight with an impressive 144 rushing yards for Indianapolis. The Colts' offense was balanced and efficient, allowing them to control the tempo of the game and keep the Ravens' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Durham Smythe was the standout receiver for Baltimore, contributing 58 yards through the air. Defensively, the Colts made crucial plays that swung momentum in their favor, notably with an interception from CJ Allen. Despite a strong showing from Malaki Starks, who recorded five tackles for Baltimore, the Colts' ability to stifle drives and force turnovers proved pivotal. The game's turning point came when Allen's interception halted a Ravens drive and shifted the momentum firmly into Indianapolis' hands, paving the way for their commanding win.
