In a high-octane showdown, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Indianapolis Colts 72-49 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their position in the playoff race, but it was the Steelers who emerged victorious in this offensive bonanza. Drew Allar was the standout for Pittsburgh, throwing for an impressive 469 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his ability to slice through the Colts' secondary. On the other side, Jonathan Taylor kept the Colts competitive with a remarkable 316 rushing yards, making explosive plays that kept the game within reach. Roman Wilson also made his mark, racking up 127 receiving yards and contributing to the Steelers' potent aerial attack. While the offenses stole the spotlight, it was the Steelers' defense that provided a crucial turning point. Daylen Everette's interception shifted momentum back to Pittsburgh, halting a Colts drive that could have narrowed the gap. With Laiatu Latu applying pressure and securing a sack, the Steelers' defense played a key role in maintaining their lead and sealing the victory.
