In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 23-20. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the 2026 season, the Bears managed to come out on top in a tightly contested battle at home. Caleb Williams shone for Chicago, throwing for 249 yards and helping his team secure key first downs. D'Andre Swift contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 86 rushing yards, while Zavion Thomas was a standout receiver, amassing 119 yards through the air. Kyler Murray of the Vikings did his best to keep pace with two passing touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to seal the victory. Defensively, the Bears were led by Malik Muhammad II, who tallied eight total tackles, ensuring the Vikings' offensive plays were consistently met with resistance. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when the Bears' defense held strong, preventing a potential game-tying drive by the Vikings. Despite a strong effort from Minnesota's Andrew Van Ginkel, who recorded 1.5 sacks, the Bears' defense ultimately delivered the stops needed to clinch the victory.
