In an exhilarating Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the New York Giants triumphed over the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 44-34. Both teams entered the game looking to establish dominance early in the season, but it was the Giants who ultimately made the necessary plays to secure the victory. Dak Prescott put on a stellar performance for the Cowboys, throwing for 364 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. However, it was Jaleel McLaughlin of the Giants who stole the show with a remarkable 216 rushing yards, consistently breaking tackles and finding gaps in the Cowboys' defense. George Pickens also had a standout game for Dallas, racking up 186 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. On the defensive side, the Giants made crucial stops that shifted the momentum of the game. Dru Phillips led the team with six tackles, while Brian Burns added 1.5 sacks to put pressure on Prescott throughout the contest. The turning point came when Paulson Adebo snagged an interception late in the fourth quarter, denying the Cowboys a chance to rally and sealing the Giants' victory in a thrilling opener.
