The New York Giants topped the Arizona Cardinals 16-9 in a tightly contested battle that showcased the grit of both teams. With this victory, the Giants improve their standing in the early stages of the 2026 season, while the Cardinals are left searching for answers after a tough loss. Dak Prescott led the offensive charge for New York, throwing for 192 yards and one touchdown, demonstrating his ability to manage the game effectively. Tony Pollard was a force on the ground, racking up 95 rushing yards, while A.J. Brown proved to be Prescott's favorite target, accumulating 91 receiving yards. Together, they formed a balanced attack that kept the Cardinals' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Giants made their mark with a standout performance from Danielle Hunter, who recorded 2.5 sacks and consistently pressured the Arizona quarterback. Greg Newsome II's two interceptions proved crucial, particularly in the second half when he picked off a pass that shifted momentum firmly in the Giants' favor. T.J. Edwards of the Cardinals led his team with nine tackles, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide as New York's defense stifled Arizona's offensive efforts when it mattered most.
