In a commanding performance, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Baltimore Ravens 42-20 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This victory not only showcases the Saints' offensive prowess but also sets the tone for their season as they look to build momentum moving forward. Leading the charge for New Orleans was quarterback Justin Herbert, who threw for an impressive 378 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his elite passing ability. Bucky Irving added a solid ground game with 71 rushing yards, while the Ravens' Terry McLaurin shone with 132 receiving yards in a losing effort. However, it was Herbert's efficiency and playmaking that ultimately propelled the Saints to victory. Defensively, the Saints were well-prepared, with Xavier McKinney leading the team in tackles with seven. Jared Verse contributed with a critical sack, while Tyler Owens intercepted a pass, further disrupting the Ravens' rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Saints scored back-to-back touchdowns, creating an insurmountable lead that the Ravens could not recover from.
