The Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Minnesota Vikings 24-14 in a critical Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, the Buccaneers secured a much-needed victory at home, showcasing their offensive prowess. Baker Mayfield was the standout performer for Tampa Bay, throwing for 345 yards and two touchdowns, effectively leading the offense. Bucky Irving also made a significant impact on the ground, contributing 84 rushing yards, while the Buccaneers' passing game effectively spread the field, keeping the Vikings' defense on their heels. Despite a strong effort from Minnesota's Justin Jefferson, who racked up 148 receiving yards, it wasn't enough to swing the game in their favor. Defensively, the Buccaneers were a force to be reckoned with, highlighted by Yaya Diaby's two sacks and Jacob Parrish's interception, which shifted the momentum in Tampa Bay's favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Parrish's pick set the stage for a crucial Buccaneers touchdown, extending their lead and putting the Vikings in a tough position as they tried to claw back in the second half. The combination of timely defensive plays and a potent offensive display ultimately sealed the victory for Tampa Bay.
