In a commanding performance, the Chicago Bears topped the Minnesota Vikings 42-24 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The victory solidified the Bears' position as a formidable contender early in the season, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive capabilities. Caleb Williams was the standout for Chicago, throwing for 367 yards and four touchdowns, making it a day to remember for the young quarterback. His precision passing was complemented by D'Andre Swift, who added 80 rushing yards, and Luther Burden III, who was a key target with 118 receiving yards. This offensive barrage set the tone and kept the Vikings' defense on their heels all game long. On the defensive side, Dillon Thieneman made a significant impact with two interceptions, helping to shift momentum in favor of the Bears. Kyler Gordon led the charge with nine total tackles, consistently stifling any Vikings' attempts to gain traction. The turning point came midway through the third quarter when Thieneman's second pick set up another Bears touchdown, effectively sealing the game and putting the Vikings on their heels for the remainder of the contest.
