In a thrilling season opener, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Green Bay Packers 31-24, setting the tone for what promises to be an electrifying 2026 campaign. Both teams were eager to start strong, but it was the Vikings who ultimately showcased their prowess on both sides of the ball. Leading the charge for Minnesota was quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for an impressive 317 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. Tai Felton was his favorite target, racking up 129 receiving yards, while Jordan Mason contributed a solid ground game with 83 rushing yards, helping to keep the Packers' defense on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Vikings were led by Isaiah Rodgers Sr., who made his presence felt with eight total tackles and a half-sack. Although the Packers managed to snag an interception from Xavier McKinney, the game’s turning point came in the fourth quarter when Minnesota's defense stifled a key Green Bay drive, allowing them to hold off a late comeback attempt and secure the victory.
