In a decisive Week 16 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Kansas City Chiefs 34-10, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season approaches its climax. The 49ers showcased their dominance with a well-rounded performance, leaving the Chiefs struggling to keep pace. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 235 yards and two touchdowns, while Christian McCaffrey's ground game was pivotal, racking up 111 rushing yards. Mike Evans was a standout receiver, finishing the game with 122 yards, providing Purdy with a reliable target throughout the contest. Together, this trio propelled the 49ers to a commanding offensive display. Defensively, the 49ers put pressure on the Chiefs, limiting their scoring opportunities and forcing them into difficult situations. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when the 49ers' defense stifled a promising drive from Kansas City, allowing San Francisco to extend their lead and maintain control of the game. Despite Alohi Gilman's 10 tackles for the Chiefs, it wasn't enough to counter the relentless 49ers attack.
