In a decisive season opener, the Houston Texans dominated the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 42-14. This Week 1 matchup set the tone for the 2027 season, as the Texans showcased their offensive prowess and defensive intensity right out of the gate. C.J. Stroud led the charge for Houston, throwing for 266 yards and three touchdowns, effectively dismantling the Colts' secondary. Nico Collins was his top target, racking up 98 receiving yards, while the ground game complemented the offense with a balanced attack. Despite a solid performance from Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 100 yards, the Colts struggled to keep pace with the Texans' high-octane offense. Defensively, the Texans made a significant impact, highlighted by Calen Bullock's two interceptions that shifted momentum in their favor. Danielle Hunter also contributed with a sack, pressuring the Colts' quarterback throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter, when Bullock's first interception led to a quick touchdown, putting the Texans firmly in control and effectively sealing the victory.
