In a decisive Week 2 showdown, the New York Giants topped the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 35-19, solidifying their position early in the 2027 season. The victory was crucial for the Giants as they look to establish momentum and build on their playoff aspirations. Quarterback Will Levis was the star of the game, throwing for 260 yards and an impressive four touchdowns. His connection with the offense was on full display, as he effectively spread the ball around and took advantage of defensive lapses. Meanwhile, Trey Benson added a solid ground game with 72 rushing yards, complementing Levis' aerial assault. The Giants’ defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with linebacker Dru Phillips recording three interceptions, which proved crucial in shifting momentum. Brian Burns was relentless on the pass rush, tallying two sacks and keeping pressure on the Cardinals' offense. The turning point came when Phillips' third interception late in the third quarter halted a potential Arizona scoring drive and allowed New York to extend their lead, sealing the game in their favor.
