In a tightly contested matchup, the Cincinnati Bengals triumphed over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 24-16 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. The victory was crucial for Cincinnati as they look to establish momentum early in the season and solidify their playoff aspirations. Offensively, the Bengals relied heavily on rookie running back Chase Brown, who dominated the ground game with 155 rushing yards, consistently finding openings and breaking tackles. Quarterback Joe Burrow added to the Bengals' scoring effort with a touchdown pass, while Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars showcased his passing prowess, racking up 285 yards through the air and connecting with Brian Thomas Jr., who led all receivers with 104 yards. Cincinnati's defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Cashius Howell leading the charge, registering 1.5 sacks to disrupt Lawrence's rhythm. The Bengals' ability to stifle Jacksonville's scoring opportunities was key, especially in the second half, where they forced the Jaguars to settle for field goals instead of touchdowns. Ultimately, Cincinnati's defensive pressure proved to be the turning point, allowing them to hold off a late rally from the Jaguars to secure the win.
