In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals, clinching a 29-26 victory. With both teams looking to establish early momentum in the 2026 season, this game proved crucial for their playoff aspirations. Sam Darnold led the Seahawks offensively, throwing for two touchdowns and guiding his team to a balanced offensive performance. Meanwhile, Carson Beck showcased his skills for the Cardinals, racking up 238 passing yards, but it was Jeremiyah Love's 74 rushing yards and Trey McBride's impressive 86 receiving yards that kept Arizona in contention. Defensively, the Seahawks made key plays to stifle Arizona's momentum, led by Devon Witherspoon's five total tackles and Ernest Jones IV's crucial sack. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Seahawks' defense forced a turnover, allowing Darnold to orchestrate a game-winning drive. Despite a valiant effort from the Cardinals, including an interception from Will Johnson, it was Seattle's timely defensive stand that secured the victory.
