The Chicago Bears topped the Minnesota Vikings 41-28 in a Week 2 showdown of the 2026 season, marking a significant early statement in the NFC North. With both teams vying for early-season momentum, the Bears managed to seize control and secure a critical divisional win at home. Leading the offensive charge for Chicago was D'Andre Swift, who rushed for 94 yards, consistently finding gaps in the Vikings' defense. Minnesota's Cade Klubnik showcased his talent, throwing for 229 yards and three touchdowns, with Justin Jefferson emerging as his favorite target, racking up 131 receiving yards. Despite the impressive offensive output from the Vikings, it was not enough to overcome the Bears’ effectiveness. Defensively, the Bears made timely stops to stifle the Vikings' momentum, while Minnesota's defense struggled to contain the Chicago attack. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when the Bears scored two quick touchdowns, giving them a lead they would not relinquish. Although the Vikings fought back, highlighted by Byron Murphy Jr.'s interception, their efforts fell short as the Bears held firm to secure the victory.
