In a commanding season opener, the Buffalo Bills triumphed over the Houston Texans with a decisive 45-21 victory. Both teams aimed to set the tone for the new season, but it was the Bills who established dominance early on and never looked back. Josh Allen led the charge for Buffalo, throwing for 206 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his precision and leadership. Meanwhile, James Cook III made significant contributions on the ground, racking up 87 rushing yards to keep the Texans' defense on its heels. Despite a solid performance from Houston's Dalton Schultz, who recorded 65 receiving yards, the Bills' offense proved too much to handle. Defensively, Buffalo's Greg Rousseau was a standout, notching an impressive 2.5 sacks that disrupted Houston's rhythm throughout the game. The pivotal moment came when Cole Bishop intercepted a pass, halting a Texans drive and allowing the Bills to maintain their momentum. With a balanced attack and strong defensive plays, Buffalo effectively secured their victory and started the season on a high note.
