In a hard-fought Divisional Round matchup, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Washington Commanders 17-10, securing their spot in the next round of the playoffs. The stakes were high, with both teams vying for a chance at the coveted Super Bowl, but it was the 49ers who emerged victorious on their home turf. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 208 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure. Omari Evans was his top target, racking up an impressive 127 receiving yards, making key plays that kept the chains moving. Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels did his best for Washington, gaining 54 rushing yards, but the Commanders struggled to find consistent offensive rhythm. Defensively, the 49ers were relentless, with Jailin Walker making a significant impact by recording three sacks, disrupting the Washington backfield and forcing hurried throws from Daniels. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when Purdy connected with Evans for a touchdown, pushing the lead to seven and putting the pressure back on the Commanders, who ultimately fell short in their comeback attempt.
