In a thrilling shootout, the Los Angeles Rams narrowly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 79-77 in Week 13 of the 2026 season. Both teams were vying for playoff positioning, making this high-scoring affair even more significant as the season approaches its climax. Patrick Mahomes turned in a record-setting performance, throwing for an astonishing 884 yards and 10 touchdowns, showcasing his elite arm talent. However, it was Rams running back Bijan Robinson who stole the show with a jaw-dropping 276 rushing yards, proving instrumental in keeping the chains moving for Los Angeles. Xavier Worthy also had a standout game for the Chiefs, racking up 625 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory. Defensively, the Rams had a tough time containing Mahomes, but they made crucial stops when it mattered most. Kamari Lassiter's three interceptions for the Chiefs highlighted their defensive efforts, but the turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Rams' defense finally forced a turnover, allowing them to seal the win and maintain their playoff push. This game will be remembered not just for its score, but for the offensive fireworks and pivotal defensive moments that defined it.
