In a commanding performance, the New England Patriots topped the Los Angeles Chargers 56-23 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies the Patriots' position as a playoff contender, while the Chargers face mounting concerns as the season progresses. Drake Maye was nothing short of spectacular for New England, throwing for five touchdowns and showcasing his ability to stretch the field effectively. TreVeyon Henderson complemented the aerial assault with a strong ground game, racking up 104 rushing yards, while wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster contributed significantly with multiple receptions that kept the chains moving. Defensively, the Patriots asserted their dominance with Robert Spillane leading the charge, recording 11 total tackles. The turning point came in the second quarter when Marcus Jones intercepted a pass, swinging momentum firmly in New England's favor. With Harold Landry III adding a sack to the mix, the Patriots' defense proved too much for the Chargers, who struggled to respond throughout the game.
