The Arizona Cardinals secured a solid victory over the Washington Commanders, with a final score of 17-3 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. This win keeps the Cardinals in contention for a playoff spot, while the Commanders struggle to find their footing as the season winds down. Offensively, it was a challenging day for both teams, but George Pickens made the most of his opportunities, leading the Cardinals with 59 receiving yards. On the other side, Michael Penix Jr. managed to put up 185 passing yards for the Commanders, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Rachaad White contributed on the ground with 66 rushing yards but found himself stifled by the Cardinals’ defense. The Cardinals' defense was a significant factor in this matchup, with Dillon Thieneman leading the charge with six total tackles. Harrison Phillips added pressure with 1.5 sacks, while Kei'Trel Clark's interception proved pivotal, stalling any momentum Washington had. The turning point came in the second quarter when Clark picked off Penix, allowing Arizona to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
