In a thrilling Week 11 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly defeated the Detroit Lions, 16-15, in a game that had playoff implications for both teams. With the victory, the Buccaneers solidified their position in the playoff race while the Lions struggled to maintain their footing in a competitive division. Baker Mayfield led the Buccaneers’ offense with a strong performance, throwing for 317 yards and keeping the chains moving when it mattered most. On the other side, Justin Fields managed to secure a touchdown pass, but it was Jahmyr Gibbs' 97 rushing yards that kept the Lions' offense competitive throughout the contest. Defensively, the Buccaneers made crucial plays to stifle the Lions' momentum, with Alex Anzalone recording a key sack that shifted the tide in the second half. The game’s turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Kerby Joseph intercepted a potential game-winning drive from Mayfield, but the Lions couldn't capitalize on the opportunity, allowing Tampa Bay to hold on for the win. With both defenses stepping up at critical moments, it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle.
