The Buffalo Bills secured a decisive 33-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for crucial conference standings, this matchup was pivotal for momentum heading into the second half of the season. Leading the charge for Buffalo was quarterback Josh Allen, who threw for 230 yards and played a crucial role in the offensive strategy. While Kyler Murray of the Vikings managed to throw for one touchdown, it was the Bills' balanced attack that featured James Cook III rushing for 65 yards, enabling Buffalo to control the tempo throughout the game. Justin Jefferson showcased his talent for Minnesota, racking up 124 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Bills' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Vikings struggled to contain the Bills’ offensive firepower, but linebacker Drue Tranquill stood out with two sacks, attempting to disrupt Buffalo's rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when the Bills scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach. Despite Josh Metellus' ten tackles for Minnesota, the Vikings were unable to mount a comeback, as Buffalo’s defense held strong in the second half.
