In a commanding performance, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Washington Commanders 41-14 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Rams solidified their position in the playoff race, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive strength against a struggling Commanders squad. Bo Nix was the standout for the Rams, throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns, leading the team with precision and poise. Puka Nacua shone as his top target, racking up 128 receiving yards, while Bijan Robinson contributed with a solid ground game, adding 70 rushing yards. This offensive trio was instrumental in building an insurmountable lead for Los Angeles. On the defensive side, Aaron Donald was a game-wrecker, recording 1.5 sacks and consistently pressuring the Commanders' quarterback. The turning point came in the second quarter when Donald's relentless pursuit led to a fumble recovery, shifting momentum squarely in the Rams' favor. Despite Rasul Douglas's nine tackles for Washington, the Rams' defense effectively stifled any hopes of a comeback, securing their dominant victory.
