The Denver Broncos opened the 2027 season with an impressive 42-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, showcasing their dominance right from the start. With high stakes in the season opener, the Broncos established themselves as early contenders in the league. Quarterback Bo Nix was the standout performer for Denver, throwing for an impressive 363 yards and six touchdown passes, effectively leading the offense. His connection with wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was particularly lethal, as Waddle racked up 172 receiving yards, making big plays that kept the Vikings' defense on its heels throughout the game. The Broncos’ offensive efficiency was a key factor in their commanding win. Defensively, the Broncos were able to limit Minnesota's scoring opportunities, forcing the Vikings into tough situations. While Jake Golday made a solid contribution for Minnesota with four total tackles and an interception, it was clear that the Vikings struggled to maintain offensive momentum. The turning point came when Denver's defense held Minnesota to a three-and-out in the second quarter, allowing Nix and the offense to extend their lead and effectively put the game out of reach.
