The Tampa Bay Buccaneers held off the Tennessee Titans with a final score of 24-17 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This victory was crucial for the Buccaneers, as they continue to build momentum in their quest for playoff positioning. Baker Mayfield led the Buccaneers' offense with a steady performance, throwing for one touchdown while managing the game effectively. Cam Ward of the Titans put up impressive numbers with 276 passing yards, but it was Ashton Jeanty’s 102 rushing yards that showcased Tennessee’s offensive versatility. Evan Svoboda also contributed significantly, racking up 83 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, Zyon McCollum was the standout for Tampa Bay, intercepting three passes and proving pivotal in key moments of the game. The Buccaneers' defense applied pressure throughout, with Bobby Okereke leading the team in tackles, totaling four. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when McCollum's third interception thwarted a late Titans drive, solidifying Tampa Bay's grip on the game and sealing the victory.
