In a commanding performance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers 30-3 in Week 13 of the 2027 season. The victory keeps the Buccaneers firmly in the playoff hunt, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball against a struggling Panthers team. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns, effectively spreading the ball around and finding his rhythm early. Complementing Mayfield's aerial success, Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground with 93 rushing yards, while Bo Melton was a reliable target, racking up 76 receiving yards. The Buccaneers' offense displayed a balanced attack that kept the Panthers' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers stifled the Panthers' efforts, limiting them to just three points and forcing them into unfavorable situations. The turning point came early in the second quarter when the Buccaneers' defense forced a crucial turnover, allowing Mayfield to capitalize with a touchdown drive that extended their lead. Although Tre'von Moehrig of the Panthers recorded 11 tackles, it wasn't enough to slow down Tampa Bay's relentless offense, which demonstrated their potential as a formidable contender this season.
