The Carolina Panthers secured a decisive 27-3 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 17 of the 2027 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Panthers showcased their dominance, effectively sealing their postseason prospects while the Texans struggled to find their rhythm. Bryce Young led the Panthers’ offense, throwing for one touchdown, while Jonathon Brooks emerged as a standout performer on the ground, racking up 104 rushing yards. The Panthers’ ability to control the clock and maintain offensive momentum was pivotal, as they consistently found ways to move the chains against a tough Texans defense. On the defensive side, Jaycee Horn made a significant impact with an interception, helping to stifle any momentum the Texans attempted to build. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Horn's pick set up a scoring drive, allowing the Panthers to extend their lead to 17-3. The Texans' offense, despite C.J. Stroud's 251 passing yards, could not overcome the relentless pressure from the Panthers, who effectively capitalized on turnovers and maintained a strong defensive presence throughout the game.
