In a decisive Week 9 clash, the Indianapolis Colts topped the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 45-28, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Colts showcased their offensive prowess and proved too much for the Cowboys, who struggled to keep pace throughout the contest. Leading the charge for the Colts was quarterback Daniel Jones, who delivered an impressive performance with 344 passing yards and four touchdowns. Running back Jonathan Taylor complemented the air attack with a strong ground game, racking up 110 rushing yards, while wide receiver Alec Pierce was a standout target, finishing with 114 receiving yards. This offensive trio was instrumental in building an insurmountable lead. Defensively, the Colts were able to contain the Cowboys' efforts, forcing them into critical third-down situations. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Colts' defense tightened, allowing the offense to capitalize on a turnover and extend their lead. Although P.J. Locke led the Cowboys with seven tackles, it wasn't enough to shift momentum in Dallas' favor, as Indianapolis maintained control for the remainder of the game.
